Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The turbocharged and intercooled 2.0-liter inline-four was rated at 170 horsepower and 160 lb-ft of torque when new. The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. Protective coverings are affixed to the door sills and front footwells. Appointments include air conditioning, Mazdaspeed aluminum pedals, power windows and door locks, cruise control, and a Kenwood audio system. The seats are trimmed in Off-Black cloth with contrasting yellow stitching. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, and the car is equipped with a Racing Beat-tuned suspension, a front strut tower brace, and front and rear stabilizer bars. Silver 17″ Racing Hart alloy wheels are mounted with 215/45 Bridgestone Potenza RE040 tires that show 2003 date codes. The front and rear bumper cover extensions are separating, and a scratch is present on the trunk lid. The car is finished in Laser Blue Mica and features aftermarket headlights that are noted to have been installed under current ownership as well as power-operated side mirrors, a rear wing, and a single Mazdaspeed-branded exhaust outlet. This Mazdaspeed Protegé has 50 miles and is now offered at no reserve with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a duplicate Washington State title in the seller’s name. The battery was replaced in preparation for the sale. It is finished in Laser Blue Mica over Off-Black cloth upholstery, and additional equipment includes 17″ Racing Hart wheels, a Racing Beat-tuned suspension, aftermarket headlights, a rear wing, air conditioning, and a Kenwood audio system. ![]() The car is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
